Limits to Player Editing in EA Sports College Football 25 FAQ - Page 219 (2024)

I didn't expect that, but that was mainly because I was following this issue starting in like April-May when there were first hints that we would be limited. I knew NIL players were most likely off limits for everything. I expected ratings, number, and physical stature editing for recruits. I assumed either name or face might be locked to prevent people from creating opt outs or future opt outs.

Just got back to work from lunch and wanted to report back a couple of things.

1) Player Attributes - If you look at the roster from the main menu, you can see Player Attributes, but they are locked and uneditable. In Dynasty Mode, they are not among the things that are able to be edited. matter of fact, or at least i couldn't find them, they aren't even viewable, nowhere to be found. You can edit QB Throw Styles.

2) I wanted to see what impact player ratings really have. I didn't have a lot of time, so I can't make any absolute judgements at this time. But, I mainly wanted to mess around with QB Throwing Accuracy. So, I lowered every QB Accuracy rating for my starting QB as well as my next opponents QB all down to 1. I wanted to see what would happen on the field. I used default All-American sliders for the game and put it on Super-Sim Slow to watch. Again, not a lot of time spent, but watching a quarter and a half of the game, and seeing both QB's throw passes, outside have ball velocity, lowering those ratings down to 1 didn't appear to have any impact on Throw Accuracy. I'm going to spend more time with it after the game tonight and mess around some more.

I haven't had a chance to check, so for number 1, are you saying Non Nil players attributes like speed, awareness things like that can't be edited? Or is it just the play styles that still can't be edited?

The Ratings can be edited(Speed, Awareness, etc.). Player Attributes ( QB Throw Away, Senses Pressure, Penalty Discipline, etc.) aren't available to view or edit in Dynasty.

Just confirmed bug is still present where if you edit any equipment on any player that shares a number it will automatically change the number of the player who he shares it with.

Ex. Change glove color of WR #3 Eugene Wilson and then go check and CB# 3 Jason Marshall will be #32 now. I’ve already tried then editing the player who is #32 in hopes it changes Marshall back to #3 but the problem still persists. This basically limits all editing to outside of dynasty or only players without duplicate numbers.
