With baby #3 I was coming up on my due date after my first 2 were both born 3 weeks early. I was miserable and willing to try just about anything.

I mean anything even tried the Castro Oil, walking, pedicures, pressure points, walking, super spicey foods, walking, squats, walking, moving furniture, more walking… yeah I was at the end of my rope and beyond tired!

A friend of mine asked me if I had tried labor cookies and I perked right up. No, but I like cookies. In fact with this baby, I CRAVED cookies! Particularly I craved any recipe with Oreos in it. Apparently several of my friends swear by this recipe and were happy to pass it along to me.

Oh and this stubborn girl was born ON her due date!

The recipe is a mix of several things that are known and speculated in jumpstarting labor.

Cinnamon – Cinnamon has been known to stimulate labor contractions and strengthen those you already have.

Ginger – The basis of these cookies is ginger. Ginger while mostly known for keeping nausea away in early pregnancy is known to help move the labor process along once it has started.
