Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for July 26 (2024)

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Changes are once again on the horizon as Bungie's weekly blog post had plenty of new details, including a lengthy discussion on the state of the Crucible. The much discussed Dual Destiny mission, which leads to Destiny 2's first exotic class armor item, is also seeing some tweaks.

With a ton of different perk options, Destiny 2's exotic class armor can be a tricky thing to farm, especially when looking for a very specific roll. In an upcoming update, Bungie is increasing the odds for the armor to drop when looting chests in the Pale Heart. Those odds increase even more when participating in the Overthrow activity, including higher teirs during the activity. Not only that, Bungie is adding a weekly challenge to the Dual Destiny mission in Destiny 2, giving a second cclass item drop upon completion every week, per class.

In the meantime, the weekend merchant Xur has brought a brand-new inventory of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players. Where is Xur?

Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar of The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.

Since the Bazaar area is between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the little Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Nezarec's Sin - Warlock helmet

Exotic Perks:

• Abyssal Extractors - Void-damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate.

A solid option for Voidwalkers who want to keep their abilities ready to go more often than usual, just make sure to get void kills.

Graviton Forfeit - Hunter helmet

Exotic Perk:

• Vanishing Shadow - Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased.

Voidwalkers, who don't want to rely too heavily on the Orpheus Rig boots, will want to check out this item, which is very cool at increasing survivability thanks to its enhanced invisibility effects. Roll is also very good this week.

Heart of Inmost Light - Titan chest armor

Exotic Perk:

• Overflowing Light - Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points.

Another week with a Titan exotic that doesn't have high mobility is always nice, even if this one is okay. The roll is solid and the effects it gives are certainly helpful, though it may not be replacing any of the top Titan options anytime soon.

• Paracausal Shot - Final blows and precision hits with Hawkmoon grant stacks of Paracausal Charge. The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage based on the number of stacks. Stowing Hawkmoon on the final round removes this bonus.

The Huckleberry - Submachine Gun

• Ride the Bull - Increased rate of fire and recoil while you're holding down the trigger. Kills with this weapon reload a portion of the magazine.

Sunshot - Hand Cannon

• Sunburn - This weapon fires explosive rounds and highlights targets that take damage from Sunshot.

• Mad Scientist - This weapon fires a volley of rockets.
